Look Who's Talking

Zach is finally making some sense these days. He competed 12 weeks of speech therapy on Friday. It was bitter sweet to say good-bye to Mrs. Maria, but we hope to see her again this summer along with her two-year-old daughter at some play days.

Maria was just amazing and Zachary so enjoyed seeing her every Friday. Through her techniques (and our homework), he began to identify objects, then eventually started making simple sentences. It truly is a joy to be able to communicate with him through speech. I will always be so thankful that I finally swallowed my pride and asked for help through Early Childhood Intervention Services (ECI).

Now we are going to take it easy this summer and just work on simple phrases, colors, and such. I will begin his homeschooling this fall as I did last spring with Hannah. He will get a lot more attention when Hannah attends preschool two days a week this fall.
